The JOM Group kicks things off with Oliver Blecken at the new Düsseldorf location.

Hamburg, 12.10.2016. The Hamburg-based JOM Group began laying the groundwork for its new branch in Düsseldorf as early as last year. The group was able to secure the long-time GroupM executive Oliver Blecken (49) as managing partner. He will build up and head the newly founded JOM Düsseldorf GmbH.
The move will further accelerate the successful development that the Hamburg-based JOM Group has experienced over recent years and which is now also set to continue in the “media agency capital” of Düsseldorf.
“The market is ripe for sustainably efficient business models. That is why we are especially pleased to have secured such an experienced top-level executive for the agency in Oliver Blecken. His professional expertise gained from experience at both creative and network agencies will be a huge asset to us. Oliver is a recognised strategist with a creative mind capable of thinking outside the box, and after several years at network agencies, he is hungry for the freedom the structure of an independent agency provides,” commented JOM founder, Michael Jäschke.
JOM partner Henning Ehlert agrees, adding that, “Our way of working is not scalable in just any way. Our future therefore depends on establishing additional branches.”
Before joining JOM, Oliver Blecken enjoyed a long career at Mindshare in Germany, Russia and Hungary and Initiative Media in Switzerland as well as a two-year stint as chief strategic officer at the creative agency JWT Germany. In 2008, he switched to MediaCom in Germany, where he served as COO.
