JOM Group goes Urban Farming

Hamburg, October 5, 2020. Albert Einstein is said to have said: “Once the bee disappears from the earth, man will have only four years to live. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more people.”

Unfortunately, due to monocultures, pesticides and diseases in our world, bee colonies do not have it easy and are increasingly endangered.

Therefore, the JOM Group wants to contribute to the preservation of the honey bee and combines a sunny spot on the roof terrace of the Hamburg agency location with one of the most important farm animals of our time: the bees.

“In the future, we will no longer ‘only’ work according to the self-developed principle of Hybrid Marketing Communication, combining media planning expertise, brand management, digital as well as performance marketing know-how with creative knowledge, but also engage in sustainable urban farming,” says Michael Jäschke, Founder & Shareholder JOM Group. “More than 30,000 new employees is a word, but at the same time also a real added value for the plants in the big city. Not to mention the amount of good HafenCity honey.”

And because it’s kind of fun to watch others at work, you can catch a glimpse of the JOM bee colonies via the live Bee Cam:
